Moray eels, scientifically known as Muraenidae, represent a diverse family of eels that inhabit various regions across the globe. With approximately 200 species spread across 15 genera, these eels primarily reside in marine environments, although some species can be frequently observed in brackish water and a select few can be found in freshwater habitats.
