Manipontonia psamathe, commonly known as the translucent Gorgonian shrimp, is a captivating saltwater species first documented in 1902. These delicate creatures typically reach a size of up to 2.5 centimeters (1 inch) and thrive at ocean depths ranging from 3 to 60 meters (10 to 200 feet). This shrimp is characterized by a rostrum adorned with six teeth and a body marked by two distinct red lines, often residing among corals.
