The Anemone Shrimp, scientifically known as Actinimenes inornatus, is a small marine creature that can grow up to 2 centimeters (approximately 0.79 inches) in length. It is commonly found in shallow reef areas, often residing near sponges and beneath overhangs. Remarkably, this shrimp has a symbiotic relationship with the sea anemone species Stichodactyla mertensii, where it finds shelter and protection.

In terms of appearance, the Anemone Shrimp is notable for its broad white stripes that stretch from between its eyes down to its tail, giving it a distinctive and striking look. These shrimp primarily feed on plankton, which they capture and consume as it drifts by in the water. Their size and unique coloration make them an interesting subject for study and observation within their reef habitat.
