Bodianus opercularis, commonly known as the blackspot hogfish, is a species of wrasse prevalent in the 🌊 Indian Ocean, including the 🌊 Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba extending northward, and southward to regions such as 🇲🇬 Madagascar and 🇲🇺 Mauritius, with its range reaching as far east as Christmas Island. This species is known to achieve a maximum length of 18 cm (7.1 inches).
