The lined wrasse, scientifically known as Anampses lineatus, is a species of wrasse that is indigenous to the Indo-Pacific region, ranging from the 🌊 Red Sea to 🇿🇦 South Africa and extending eastward to Bali (🇮🇩 Indonesia). Typically inhabiting lagoons and reefs, this species is commonly found at depths ranging from 10 to 45 m (33 to 148 ft), with a preference for depths below 20 m (66 ft). With a maximum length of approximately 13 cm (5.1 in), the lined wrasse also holds significance within the aquarium trade.
