An arm that floats. The hollow 60 mm (2.4 in) carbon tube is sealed at both ends and lifts 108 g (3.8 oz) in the water, so it does the job of an arm and cancels weight at the same time. That matters more than it sounds: a rig that sinks pulls your wrist down for the whole dive and drags your trim nose-first. The arithmetic is easy with our lights. An L24 weighs 225 g in the water, so the two short arms in this box make it close to neutral. The aluminum end caps protect the carbon where it takes knocks, and it is rated to 100 m (330 ft). Comes in 5, 8, 10 and 12 inch lengths; the longer ones lift more.
