# Reticulate Moray (*Gymnothorax reticularis*)

The Gymnothorax reticularis, commonly referred to as the dusky-banded moray, reticulated moray, net moray, or spotted moray, is a species of moray eel indigenous to the western Pacific and Indian Oceans. Notably, in 2013, a single specimen was documented in the Mediterranean Sea near Israel. The species was first described by Marcus Elieser Bloch in 1795.
