The twospot hogfish (Bodianus bimaculatus) is a species within the wrasse family, indigenous to the Indo-Pacific region, ranging from Madagascar to New Caledonia and from Japan to New Zealand. This particular species predominantly inhabits reef areas characterized by rubble or sand substrates, at depths between 30 to 60 meters (approximately 98 to 197 feet). Bodianus bimaculatus can attain a length of up to 10 centimeters (approximately 3.9 inches) and is also available within the aquarium trade industry.
