# Red Sea Squirrelfish (*Sargocentron marisrubri*)

Sargocentron marisrubri is a species of squirrelfish within the genus Sargocentron, predominantly located in the western Indian Ocean, specifically in the Gulf of Aqaba, also referred to as the Gulf of Elat, off the coast of Egypt, as well as in Sudanese waters. This species typically inhabits reef environments where it is observed in small groups.
