**Taxon:** Halfbeaks (*Hemiramphidae*)

The Red Sea Halfbeak (*Hyporhamphus gamberur*) is a species of marine fish classified under the genus *Hyporhamphus*, deriving its name from the Greek terms "hypo" meaning under, and "rhamphos" signifying beak or bill. This species is typically associated with reef environments in tropical regions and can attain a maximum length of 37 cm. It is characterized by a forked caudal fin, where the lower lobe is notably longer than the upper. The Red Sea Halfbeak is commonly found around reef areas within the Western Indian Ocean, specifically in the Red Sea and along the coast of Somalia.
