# Two-spotted Flathead (*Onigocia bimaculata*)

The Two-spotted Flathead (*Onigocia bimaculata*) is a marine species primarily inhabiting demersal zones at depths ranging from 3 to 30 meters. This subtropical species typically reaches a maximum length of 6.6 cm and is commonly observed in coral sand environments.

Geographically, the Two-spotted Flathead is distributed across the Indo-Pacific region. Its known range extends from the Gulf of Aqaba and includes the Comoro Islands and Mauritius, reaching up to southern Japan and the Philippines. Additional populations are found in the Caroline Islands, northeastern Australia, New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga, American Samoa, and the Society Islands.
