The Broadstriped Anthias (*Pseudanthias taeniatus*) is a marine species primarily associated with coral reef ecosystems. It is typically found at depths ranging from 10 to 40 meters, with a more common occurrence between 20 to 40 meters. This tropical fish thrives in water temperatures between 22°C and 27°C. The species can attain a maximum length of 13 cm, with a more commonly observed length around 10 cm.

Male Broadstriped Anthias are distinguished by their two prominent red stripes. These fish are usually observed in aggregations near coral outcrops and along reef drop-offs.
