## Overview

Megawish Island lies 9 km south of Hurghada marina in the Magawish island group, and it matters to the diving here for more than its own reef. The island line is what shelters the sites behind it, Shaab Eshta 3.7 km east among them, and keeps them workable on days when the open reefs are not.

## Location

9 km south of Hurghada marina, 2.5 km west-southwest of Shaab Petra.

## Conditions

In the lee of the Magawish islands, which is what holds the whole group divable in wind, though it can still turn choppy.
