Aqaba Moon Diving Center is a PADI 5-Star dive center (#28991) on Al-Reem Street in Aqaba, Jordan, the country's single stretch of Red Sea coast. It was founded and is run day to day by two instructors who met the water from opposite directions: Natalya Zlobina, a PADI Master Instructor who left an office job after fifteen years of diving on holiday, and Ismail Suhiemat, a PADI IDC Staff Instructor who started diving in Aqaba itself eight years ago and stayed to teach. A female instructor on staff is something the center names explicitly, and it matters to solo travelers and families deciding where to book.

Aqaba's advantage is geometry. The Gulf of Aqaba is a narrow flooded rift, so the reef starts a few steps from the road and the drop-off follows right behind it. Almost every site here is a shore dive, which means no dawn boat ride, no crossing, and time in the water instead of on it. Water runs about 21°C in winter to 28°C in late summer, and visibility past 25 meters is routine.

What the shore gives access to is unusually strange. Aqaba's Underwater Military Museum is a deliberately sunk arrangement of tanks, troop carriers, an ambulance and a helicopter, laid out in battle formation on open sand. A Lockheed L-1011 TriStar airliner and a C-130 Hercules sit nearby, and the Cedar Pride, a freighter sunk on purpose in 1985, is now armored in soft coral. Between the wrecks are ordinary reef dives such as Japanese Gardens, Eel Garden and the Seven Sisters.

The center runs guided shore and boat dives daily, Discover Scuba Diving for people who have never breathed underwater, the Bubble Maker program for children, snorkeling trips, and the full PADI course ladder from Scuba Diver through Divemaster, plus specialties including Enriched Air, Deep, Wreck, Night, Sidemount and Underwater Photography. Groups are kept small on purpose, and both founders teach Project AWARE and Dive Against Debris alongside the recreational courses.
