More than a thousand species of fish, hundreds of corals, and a remarkable number of creatures found absolutely nowhere else on Earth. Anyone who has dipped their head under its surface knows the feeling - that there's a whole living world down there, busy and brilliant and a little bit alien. I wanted a companion worthy of it. So I built one. **[Red Sea Creatures](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/red-sea-creatures/id6783286953)** is a free app: a field guide to the marine life of the Red Sea, and a companion for everyone who loves it - divers, snorkelers, and the merely curious. You don't need an account to explore. Just open it and dive in. Tap any creature and you get the full picture: photographs, common and scientific names, habitat, size, the depths it lives at, and clear flags for whether it's **dangerous, venomous, poisonous,** or a **Red Sea endemic**. You'll also find its **conservation status** - straight from the IUCN Red List and CITES - because knowing which species are vulnerable, and why, is part of diving responsibly. ## Plan your dive The app isn't just for identifying what you saw - it helps you decide where to go next. * **Dive sites** with maps, depth, conditions, dive plans, and the marine life you can expect to meet at each one. * **Dive centers** across the Red Sea, so you know who to dive with.
